Outlook for iOS and Android does not currently support POP accounts. But you can solve this problem by adding your POP account to an Outlook.com account and then setting up that Outlook.com account using the Outlook app on your iPhone, iPad, Android phone, or Android tablet. .
If you’re not sure if you have a POP account, check with your workplace support team, email provider, or Internet service provider (ISP).
What is POP or IMAP?
Pop3 and IMAP are protocols used to connect your mailbox server to an email client, including Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird, mobile devices such as iPhones and Andriod devices, tablets, and an online webmail interface such as Gmail, Outlook.com, or 123-mail .
Step 1 : To start setting up POP3 email on your Android phone. Click “Settings” in your menu and then click “Add Account“. Make sure you choose to add an “Other” account (prevent your emails from being deleted from another account, in case you already have an email)
Click on “Manual configuration”
Step 2 : Select “POP3”. Then click next.
Step 3: Enter your full email address as your username, enter your password.
For Server, enter “mail. <Your domain>”. Example: mai.domainthatname.co.za
Security Type: “SSL / TSL”
Step 4 :Enter your outgoing mail server; “Email. <Your domain>”. Port: 465. Security Type: “SSL / TLS”.
Then click on “next”.
Step 5 : Change the settings to suit your needs and then click “next”
Step 6 : Change the name that appears as your account name to your email address.
Click Next. “Your settings will be tested and your email will be successfully created.
