Create a New Folder in Outlook.com

Configure. a new folder:

1.  Select New folder. The New Folder link is at the bottom of the folder list. An empty text box appears at the bottom of the folder list.

2. Enter a name for the folder.

Create a Subfolder in Outlook.com 

To create a new folder as a subfolder of an existing Outlook.com folder:

  1. Right-click the folder where you want to create the new subfolder. Make sure you choose items from the Folders list and not from the Favorites list.
  2. Select Create New Subfolder from the context menu that appears. A text box will appear below the folder you right-clicked.
  3. Enter a name for the new folder.
  4. Press Enter to save the subfolder.
