how to setup gmail in outlook 2010

Microsoft Office Outlook is a powerful application to manage your emails. Outlook allows you to read your received emails even when there is no internet. You can set up more than one email account in Outlook and manage them easily by creating folders and subfolders.

Gmail is the world’s most popular and widely used free email service. It allows you to install and configure your Gmail account in Outlook.

POP VS IMAP

Gmail supports two POP and IMAP mail servers, which allow you to configure your Gmail in MS Outlook. IMAP is preferred when you want to access your email from multiple devices, such as your computer, smartphone, iPad, tablet, etc.

POP is preferred when you want to access your email from one device, for example from your computer or smartphone. In general, POP is considered better and more secure than IMAP, so it is better to use POP.
